BROEN offers two kinds of manual gear operators... horizontal gear and vertical gear.
The standard horizontal gear operator places the gear drive shaft on a plane that is perpendiclar to the valve stem, whereas the vertical gear operator places the gear drive shaft on a plane that is parallel to the valve stem.
Typically, the standard horizontal gear operator is utilized, but when certain conditions and circumstances demand vertical operation, such as direct burial of the valve, the vertical gear operator is often specified.
